You ever just sit behind the wheel and pretend what it’ll be like to drive your perpetual project car?

I never had a project car. My dad had a project truck in the 1990s... but that was just a “fixing the rust to get it on the road” kind of project.
I do have a project bicycle. Right now the bicycle is functional.
So tell us more about this project car and what it needs to be road-worthy... that picture suggests to me that its bones are OLD...

Pfft, no... what? Who would do such a thing

Absolutely! I did it as a kid with my “you can have it if you can get it running” Torino and I did it as an adult with the Camaro. Sometimes the dream needs a little recharge.

It’s a Model A truck body on a 1982 S-10 frame with a 4.3 from some GMC truck or van. My dad and I traded for it and it was running. I’ve torn it all apart because the suspension was b orked and the frame rusty.
I want to finish sandblasting the frame, por15 it and start replacing things.

Have you considered getting another S10 donor without a rusty frame instead?

I have considered that but I don’t think it will be less work. The rust isn’t bad. The only real damage was to the bump stops but I cut them off anyways because I am lowering it with a kit I bought to replace the borked suspension.
